LSU coach Ed Orgeron had news on two of the Tigers’ class of 2017 signees when he met with the media on Sunday.
Orgeron revealed that 3-star signee Seth Stewart, a 6-foot-8, 320-pound offensive tackle out of Pleasant Point, W. Va., will not be joining the football team or returning to LSU this fall. He made it on campus this summer, but left the team.

Orgeron also shared the latest on DT Tyler Shelvin, a 4-star signee out of Crowley, La. As has been reported throughout the offseason, Shelvin has not yet been cleared to enroll by the NCAA. Orgeron says the hope is to have the massive (6-foot-2, 376 pounds) lineman join the team during the second week of camp, consistent with previous updates from the LSU coach.
Coach O: Tyler Shelvin still completing course work. Hopes to have him cleared by NCAA by 2nd week of camp. #LSU
