A little more than 2 weeks ago, Myles Brennan broke his left arm, and needed surgery to repair it.
While the initial shock has worn off, Brennan is working his way back to the field, and coach Ed Orgeron on Wednesday to reporters offered a loose timeline for when he may get back in action.
Last season, Brennan completed 60.3 percent of his passes for 1,112 yards, 11 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
“I don’t want to say prematurely, he’s just getting over the pain,” Orgeron said. “He’s just getting now where he’s coming back around. Obviously, it was emotional. I think they’re going to try and put the pads on him as soon as they can. Maybe start throwing the ball, I don’t know, a month or something. But I’m not in a hurry, I’m not going to rush it. I want him to be ready. I was told he could come back some time this season. As early as midseason, as late as open date, Alabama, something around there. None of that’s definite.”
A senior from Long Beach, Mississippi, Brennan started LSU’s first 3 games last year before an injury against Missouri sidelined him for the remainder of the season.
