“We talked about all week, ‘No self-inflicted wounds!'” Drinkwitz told his team. “How many turnovers we have on offense?”
“Zero!” MU players responded enthusiastically.
Drinkwitz also praised the lack of mistakes on special teams.
The win brings Mizzou’s record to 4-4 on the season. It’s an important win to keep the Tigers in the postseason picture. With 4 games remaining against Kentucky, Tennessee, New Mexico State and Arkansas, Mizzou needs 2 more wins to reach bowl eligibility.
Drinkwitz’s squad will look to extend its SEC East winning streak to 3 games in Week 10. MU hosts Kentucky in Columbia, set for a noon ET kickoff on the SEC Network.
