In today’s world of college football, it’s a guaranteed certainty that rosters will constantly be in flux due to the transfer portal and NIL. Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz isn’t feigning naivety at the new landscape in the sport.
When Drinkwitz was asked if his current players are being targeted by other programs, he didn’t hesitate to confirm the obvious facts.
On tonight’s Tiger Talk, Mike Kelly asked Eli Drinkwitz if he believes his current players have been contacted by other teams about transferring. “Absolutely they have. Anybody that says otherwise has been living in a fantasy world.”

Credit to Drinkwitz for being candid and not giving coach speak. Coaches across the country are learning how to adapt to the new environment and those that are proactive will get the best results.
Missouri has a 4-6 overall mark and 2-5 record in SEC play. Next up for Missouri is a home game vs New Mexico State on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET and the contest will be covered on ESPNU.
