Eric Stokes injury: Matt LaFleur gives ominous news about former Georgia star

Eric Stokes is likely out for the remainder of the season, according to Green Packers coach Matt LaFleur.
The cornerback and former Georgia star sustained ankle and knee injuries during the Packers’ loss to the Detroit Lions.

Stokes was landed on during a play early in the first quarter. Stokes was in a boot on his right foot and also on crutches after the injury.
The 6-foot, 194-pound Stokes has 21 solo tackles this season. Last season, Stokes tallied 55 total tackles and an interception.
The Packers selected Stokes with the No. 29 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
While at Georgia, Stokes was selected to the first-team All-SEC (2020) and second-team All-SEC (2019) squads. Stokes redshirted his freshman year in 2017 and then appeared in 13 games in 2018 with 20 tackles. During the 2019 season, Stokes amassed 38 tackles and a sack. In his final season at Georgia, Stokes contributed 4 interceptions and 2 touchdowns, including a pick-6 on his first interception.
