The first big test of the Bryan Harsin era at Auburn has been set for primetime with a national audience taking in the action.

The Tigers are set to open the season with back-to-back home games against Akron on Sept. 4 and Alabama State on Sept. 11 before things really start heating up.

During the third week of the season, Auburn will be traveling to Penn State, and now we know the kickoff and broadcast information for the SEC vs. Big Ten showdown.

On Saturday, Sept. 18, the game will take place at 7:30 p.m. ET, with the matchup being televised nationally by ABC.

Penn State opens the upcoming season at Wisconsin on Sept. 4 before playing Ball State at home on Sept. 11.

Auburn went 6-5 last season, which included a loss to Northwestern in the Citrus Bowl. Penn State went 4-5 and did not play in a bowl game.

The two programs have only met twice. The series is tied at 1-1.
