No. 7 Ole Miss bounced back from a loss at Georgia with a 34-26 victory vs. host Oklahoma on Saturday. The Rebels are now 7-1 overall and firmly in the mix for the College Football Playoff.

ESPN experts updated their postseason projections heading into Week 10. Kyle Bonagura is projecting Ole Miss to take on Indiana in a CFP quarterfinal in the Cotton Bowl on Dec. 31 from Arlington. Meanwhile, Mark Schlabach is predicting that Ole Miss will face SEC rival Texas A&M in a CFP quarterfinal in the Sugar Bowl from New Orleans on Jan. 1.

Ole Miss has never reached the College Football Playoff. However, head coach Lane Kiffin has revitalized the program with 3 double-digit victory seasons since taking over in 2020.

Ole Miss trailed 26-25 going into the fourth quarter before outscoring Oklahoma 10-0 to earn the win. Ole Miss took the lead for good on a 8-yard touchdown pass from Trinidad Chambliss to Trace Bruckler with 11:30 to go. Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy had 2 rushing touchdowns.

Next up for Ole Miss is a home contest vs. South Carolina on Nov. 1. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on ESPN.
