ESPN had Kirk Herbstreit and Chris Fowler on the call for Saturday night’s showdown between Alabama and LSU.

Though many didn’t expect it to be a close game, it actually turned into an entertaining battle, with Alabama holding on for a narrow 20-14 victory.

On Tuesday, ESPN released the broadcast numbers for the game. Per the following tweet, it was ESPN’s most-watched game since the 2019 matchup between LSU and Florida:

The game peaked with 6 million viewers and was the most-watched game of the day across many demos.

This was the first time in a while that Alabama-LSU wasn’t on CBS. CBS instead aired a top-25 showdown between Texas A&M and Auburn.
