ESPN’s Football Power Index has unveiled its projections for all of No. 5 Georgia’s games this season. If the FPI is accurate, Georgia fans will have plenty to be happy about during the 2025 campaign.
Georgia is ranked second in the FPI behind only Texas. The FPI projects Georgia’s win-loss projection to be 9.6-2.8, which puts the program within striking distance of a fifth consecutive double-digit victory season. The FPI also gives Georgia a 75.6 percent chance of reaching the College Football Playoff and 19.9 percent odds of winning the SEC.
Here’s the full breakdown of FPI’s projected win percentages for every game on the docket for Georgia:
- Aug. 30: vs. Marshall — 97.3%
- Sep. 6: vs. Austin Peay — 99%
- Sep. 13: @ Tennessee — 59.3%
- Sep. 27: vs. Alabama — 58.8%
- Oct. 4: vs. Kentucky — 90.1%
- Oct. 11: @ Auburn — 72.1%
- Oct. 18: vs. Ole Miss — 74%
- Nov. 1: vs. Florida — 69.2%
- Nov. 8: @ Mississippi State — 88.3%
- Nov. 15: vs. Texas — 45.7%
- Nov. 22: vs. Charlotte — 98.6%
- Nov. 28: vs. Georgia Tech — 86.1%
After coming off an 11-3 season capped off with a 23-10 loss to Notre Dame in the CFP quarterfinals, Georgia’s lone game with under 50 percent winning odds is against visiting Texas on Nov. 15. That game should definitely have seismic SEC and CFP implications.
Georgia’s season opener vs. visiting Marshall is set for Aug. 30 at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN.
