ESPN’s FPI has made the call between Georgia and Auburn as the latest chapter of the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry takes place Saturday at Sanford Stadium.

Coming off a wild loss to Alabama, the Bulldogs will be looking to bounce back immediately, and they’re projected as a heavy favorite against the Tigers as ESPN has given them a 91.3 percent of victory.

Georgia has won its last 7 games against Auburn, including the 2023 edition — a 27-20 affair that was tied at 17 in the third quarter before the Dawgs picked up the victory. All-time, Georgia leads the series 64-56-8.

The Bulldogs won’t want a repeat their start to Week 5’s game against Alabama. They trailed 30-7 at halftime and nearly pulled off what would have been an epic comeback before the Tide got the last laugh.

As for the Tigers, they’re seeking answers of any kind after they were unable to close out Oklahoma at home. They were up 21-16 with 4 minutes remaining before Payton Thorne threw a pick-6 to Jovantae Barnes as the Sooners took the lead for good, sending Auburn to a 0-2 start in SEC play and a 2-3 record overall.

Kickoff between the hedges is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
