ESPN, SEC Network getting hammered for Ole Miss-Vanderbilt broadcast
By SDS Staff
Published:
Ole Miss is torching Vanderbilt 21-0 at the start of the second quarter of the Vandy game at Vanderbilt Stadium.
SEC Network’s Dave Neal and DJ Shockley are calling the game, but fans are upset with ESPN for the broadcast, specifically the camera angles. It’s tough to watch a game with what feels like so far away.
Viewers are calling out the network on social media, with many making the same joke:
This Ole Miss/Vandy broadcast is so sad

This broadcast looks like a bootleg copy of Ole Miss/Vandy, as it should be.

@SECNetwork Zoom the cameras IN at the Vandy/Ole Miss game. That first series was awful. Looks as if you have a high school broadcast department handling the production.

We would like to thank @elonmusk and @SpaceX for using their camera angle from the Int. Space Station to broadcast the OM/Vandy game on @SECNetwork
We were skeptical at first but after squinting through our binoculars at home we appreciate being able to see the whole field.

ESPN handed a passerby in Nashville a camera and asked them to film this game

Is every Vandy game broadcast from a cherry picker outside of the stadium?
