ESPN’s SP+ predicts final score of Mizzou vs. Kansas rivalry game in Week 2

As the 121st edition of the Border War gets set this Saturday between Missouri and visiting Kansas, ESPN’s SP+ has projected the final score for the heated rivalry game. It’s the first meeting between the programs since 2011 when Mizzou was still in the Big 12.

The SP+ is projecting Missouri to squeak out a 30-24 victory vs. Kansas in the much awaited Border War reunion.

Missouri is coming off a 61-6 blowout victory vs. Central Arkansas in Week 1. Missouri quarterback Beau Pribula passed for 283 yards, 2 touchdowns and no interceptions while also rushing for 65 yards and 2 scores.

Meanwhile going into the Border War, Kansas is 2-0 after a pair of home victories to start the season. The Jayhawks used ferocious defense to beat Fresno State 31-7 and followed that up with a 46-7 rout against Wagner.

Missouri leads the all-time series 56-55-9 against Kansas, with the first meeting coming on Halloween in 1891. The Tigers have taken 3 games in a row from the Jayhawks.

Kansas at Missouri is slated for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff from Memorial Stadium and will be televised on ESPN2.
