Ethan Utley, 4-star DL out of Tennessee, puts 3 SEC programs in top 5

Ethan Utley released his top-5 programs on Monday afternoon as he continues to narrow down his recruitment.

Utley, a 4-star defensive lineman out of Tennessee, included a trio of SEC programs on his list: Tennessee, Texas and Oklahoma. Utley is a 2025 recruit, so the Longhorns and Sooners will be playing their second season in the SEC when Utley is a true freshman.

Utley is also still considering Michigan and Syracuse. Here’s his Christmas-themed announcement:

Utley is an elite defensive line prospect in the class of 2025. He’s the No. 112 overall player and the No. 11 defensive lineman in the country for that cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 4 player from the state of Tennessee.

Utley attends Ensworth High School in Nashville, Tenn. He’s listed at 6-foot-4, 270 pounds. He took several unofficial visits this fall, including trips to Ann Arbor, Austin and Knoxville.
