We’ve already covered every SEC program’s home record across the past 5 seasons, but what about their records on the road? With just a few days until Vanderbilt’s matchup against Hawaii kicking off the SEC football schedule for the 2023 season, we decided to take a look.

Let’s get a few things out of the way. For one, this includes only true road contests and will not delve into neutral site games. For another, it includes vacated wins for Tennessee, as marked below.

Here’s how the full list shakes out:

  •  Georgia 19-2
  •  Alabama 18-4
  • LSU: 14-10
  • Florida 12-9
  • Kentucky: 10-13
  • Tennessee: 8-12 (2 wins from 2020 season vacated)
  • Miss State 9-16
  • Ole Miss: 8-14
  • Texas A&M: 7-13
  • South Carolina 8-16
  • Missouri 8-16
  • Auburn 7-15
  • Vanderbilt 5-20
  • Arkansas: 4-17

Personally, I would not have guessed that Arkansas would have a worse away record than Vanderbilt. The Razorbacks have really struggled on the road and lost all 4 of their road contests in both 2018 and 2019.

At the top there are few surprises. Alabama and Georgia have been titans of the college football world and rarely lose even away from Bryant-Denny and Sanford Stadium.
