Minnesota Vikings kicker Blair Walsh, a former Georgia Bulldog, had a chance to give the franchise its first playoff victory since 2009 with a 27-yard field goal last week.
However, Walsh shanked it horribly, resulting in a 10-9 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the wild card round.
While many jumped on Walsh immediately, a group of first-graders at Northpoint Elementary in Blaine, Minn., took the time to try to pick Walsh’s spirits up.
In the story by Vineeta Sawkar of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, the students offered kind words:
“One time I had the same problem as you and we lost the divisional playoffs,”Jacob DePoint wrote. “You rock.”
“You are handsome,” William Ofori said. “Don’t worry. It’s just a game.”
“For Blair Walsh,” Tasha Lee said. “Keep on trying. Puppys are cute.”
You feel better yet, Walsh?
That’s much more constructive than this:
