UF athletic director Jeremy Foley was on WRUF radio in Gainesville and had a couple interesting things to say surrounding Florida football.

One of those had to do with its opponent in the Citrus Bowl, Michigan.

Foley supported the SEC’s request to the NCAA that asks to block schools from holding spring practices during spring break, a move that comes after coach Jim Harbaugh announced on National Signing Day that he’d conduct practices at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., during that time.

Foley was also asked about the program having a standalone football facility, something coach Jim McElwain said he’d like the program to eventually have.

At the moment, the Gators’ football offices, meeting rooms, the training room and the weight room are located in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. They’re one of just a few SEC programs not to have a standalone facility.

However, it doesn’t appear that The Swamp will get any expansions any time soon.
