Florida added a commit to its 2018 recruiting class Sunday with a pledge from a 3-star wide receiver and cornerback from Miami.
Nigel Bethel Jr. announced the news on Twitter and said he was “blessed.” He reportedly had 12 offers, according to 247 Sports, including from Georgia, Louisville and Miami.
Bethel Jr. was also recruited by newly-named interim coach Randy Shannon.
The 247Sports Composite ranks Bethel as the No. 219 overall prospect in Florida for the 2018 recruiting class.
Bethel, Jr. is the 19th commitment for Florida’s class, which is ranked seventh in the country and second in the SEC behind Georgia.
