Florida’s Dante Fowler, one of the SEC’s top underclassmen, appears to be leaving early for the NFL Draft.

The junior defensive lineman’s tied for second on the team with 49 tackles and leads all Gators with 4.5 sacks and 10 tackles-for-loss. He tweeted his plans Tuesday night:

Fowler’s developed a close relationship with outgoing coach Will Muschamp and is a projected early-round pick. He’s said in recent weeks the only way he would return to Gainesville for his senior season would be a bad grade from the draft advisory committee.

Muschamp’s fate appears to have made Fowler’s decision to go pro much easier.
