Florida State is doing some special things to honor the late Bobby Bowden this fall.

Bowden, who was the Seminoles’ head coach from 1976-2009, died last month at the age of 91. He was one of the greatest college football coaches of all time, leading Florida State to a pair of national championships and 12 ACC titles during a tenure that spanned 4 decades.

This season, the Seminoles will have Bowden’s name on the back of their helmets, as well as commemorative logos on their sideline polos, above the tunnel and on the field at the 25-yard line at Doak Campbell Stadium.

Florida State announced these Bowden tributes, along with images, on Wednesday:

Florida State is playing 4 of its first 5 games at home, so these tributes will be front and center for plenty of early-season action.

The Seminoles open the season with a home matchup against No. 9 Notre Dame on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
