On the verge of being reinstated by the NFL following a 10-game suspension, Dallas Cowboys LB Rolando McClain has been suspended for another full year.

According to ESPN, the former Alabama standout missed a drug test, leading to a full year’s suspension.

McClain will likely appeal the suspension, but if it fails, he won’t be eligible for reinstatement until November 2017.

At that point, after missing nearly two full seasons, it’s unlikely McClain will be able to continue being an effective player at the NFL level.

According to the ESPN report, it sounds like McClain will have to find another team if he does attempt an NFL comeback, as the Cowboys have seemingly lost interest.
