Former Alabama RB Kenyan Drake jokingly approves of Ole Miss’ new field renovations
Ole Miss is installing natural grass at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium for the 2016 season, a move that has apparently delighted former Alabama running back Kenyan Drake.
If you recall, Drake suffered a gruesome season-ending injury in the Crimson Tide’s 2014 trip to Oxford while playing on the stadium’s artificial turf. But when the Ole Miss Athletic Foundation tweeted an updated photo of the renovations on Friday morning, Drake was quick to respond with his approval:
Thank God. Ankles every where rejoice ? https://t.co/uzTUqRO6Nb

It’s obviously a lot easier for Drake to joke about now, considering he has fully healed from the injury and was able to help Alabama claim another national championship by rushing for 408 yards and a touchdown throughout the 2015 season in a reserve role.
He was then selected by the Miami Dolphins in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
