Former Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper was traded from the Cleveland Browns to the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday, with the 5-time Pro Bowler heading up I-90 to Western New York to join Josh Allen and the AFC East frontrunner.
Cooper was activated ahead of the Bills’ home game against the Tennessee Titans. And with just over 5 minutes remaining in the third quarter, he made his first catch as a Bill, a 12-yard touchdown reception to put Buffalo in front.

The Bills are Cooper’s fourth team since being taken out of Alabama by the Oakland Raiders with the fourth overall pick in 2015. He has emerged as one of the top receiving threats in the league with six 1,000-yard receiving seasons to his credit, including a career-high 1,250 yards in 2023.
But with the 1-5 Browns in turmoil — they lost Deshaun Watson to injury on Sunday, the latest chapter of a brutal 2024 season — Cleveland’s front office opted to ship Cooper to Buffalo, a team in search of a No. 1 receiver since trading Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans for a 2025 second-round pick in the offseason.
Now, Bills fans will be hoping that the veteran WR can help the franchise claim an elusive Lombardi Trophy.
