After spending two years at Auburn, linebacker O.C. Brothers decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal last month. Now, he’s decided where he’ll be going for the next stage of his college career.

On Thursday, Brothers announced that he is transferring to Purdue, providing the Boilermakers with added defensive depth for the future. Although Brothers only had three tackles over two years at Auburn (the first of which he redshirted), he could get a bigger opportunity with Purdue.

Brothers played in only three games for the Tigers — two in 2019 and one in 2020. He had a tackle in Auburn’s win over LSU on Oct. 31 this past season.

A 6-foot-1, 231-pound linebacker out of Rockledge (Fla.) High School, Brothers was a 3-star recruit in the 2019 class. He committed to Auburn on Feb. 6, 2019, and he was the No. 59 outside linebacker in the class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Brothers announced his decision to head to Purdue on Twitter:
