Treon Harris played a total of 20 games as Florida’s quarterback in 2014 and 2015, but didn’t have the kind of impact the Gators were hoping for, throwing for only 2,695 yards, 18 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

After some off-field issues in 2016, Harris decided to transfer to Tennessee State, where he started five games in 2017 before being replaced by Michael Hughes. However, he’s still there and will try to get on the field at a new position this fall.

Much like he attempted to do at Florida in 2016, Harris will try to transition to wide receiver this spring, according to The Tennessean.

Harris completed 58 of his 106 pass attempts in 2017, with those completions going for 729 yards and two touchdowns.

Now, he’ll be counted on to replace outgoing WR Patrick Smith, who led the Tigers with 42 catches for 648 yards and eight touchdowns last season.
