Former Mizzou star Armand Membou was one of the top offensive line prospects available in the 2025 NFL Draft for good reason. Now, he’s taking part in his first NFL training camp, and the rookie is already making a smashing impression on one of his teammates.
In an interview with Kay Adams for “Up and Adams,” former Alabama star Quinnen Williams, a key defensive tackle for the New York Jets, shared his initial impact on Membou and what the former Tiger brings to the table. According to Williams, Membou is already among the strongest individuals on the Jets.
“He’s extremely strong. Extremely strong, extremely heavy… probably one of the strongest people on the team,” said Williams.
Williams also said Membou has already been challenging 3rd-year defensive end Will McDonald in practice. McDonald is coming off a breakout season that included 10.5 sacks in 2024.
“I’ve been watching him going against Will McDonald and challenging Will to be better… (I’m) also challenging Membou to stop that guy,” Williams explained.

After earning 2nd-team All-SEC honors last season, Membou was at the top of many draft boards. The Jets were fortunate he was still on the board with the No. 7 overall pick, hoping Membou will become an anchor and cornerstone along the offensive line.
So far, all signs point to Membou hitting the ground running this year.
