JaMarcus Russell’s career was interesting, to say the least.

The former LSU star and No. 1 overall pick ended up being one of the biggest busts in NFL history. But before Russell’s 3-year NFL career was over, he had some wild incidents that you’d have to see to believe.

Former Oakland Raiders teammate Mack Wilson, who played with Russell all 3 years, remembered some of those bizarre stories.

Here was Wilson’s account of them that he told as a guest-host on “The Rich Eisen Show:”

So to recap, Russell once made it rain with 5,000 $1 bills in front of his teammates because he didn’t know what else to do. Russell also lied about watching a DVD of Raiders plays…and had no idea that he lied about watching what was actually a blank DVD.

Even 10 years later, it’s still interesting to hear stories about Russell from former teammates.

Thankfully for LSU, Russell’s on-field struggles didn’t begin until he got to the NFL.
