After getting cut in the NFL, former Georgia LB Amarlo Herrera is reportedly trying to make it in the WWE.
As noted by Kipp Adams at Dawgs 247, Herrera was one of the 40 athletes who recently took in a WWE tryout, according to a press release.
In four seasons at UGA, Herrera played in 54 games and made 43 starts. He tallied 334 tackles, 3.5 sacks and three interceptions. As a senior, Herrera was named second-team All-SEC.
The Indianapolis Colts drafted Herrera in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He appeared in three games for the Colts, but was released by the team on Aug. 10, 2016. He briefly joined the Tennessee Titans before signing to the Washington Redskins practice squad in Sept. 19. He was cut from the Redskins practice squad on Sept. 27.
