Former Tennessee DB Alontae Taylor made quite the grab for the first interception of his NFL career.

Taylor’s New Orleans Saints are playing rival Tampa Bay on Sunday. Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield was looking for Trey Palmer, but Taylor made the catch instead to get the ball back for the Saints.

Taylor is in Year 2 of his pro career. He was selected No. 49 overall in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft by New Orleans.

Taylor’s rookie season got off to a slow start as he played the first 2 games on special teams and then missed Weeks 3-5 on special teams. He then started 9 of the final 11 games, posting 45 tackles (38 solo), 1 stop for loss and a club-best 11 passes defended.

Entering Sunday’s game, Taylor had recorded 70 total tackles, including 46 solo stops with 1 sack, along with 12 pass breakups in the 2023 season. He has logged 2 more tackles so far Sunday.

The Saints have a 14-0 lead in the 1st half. The game is airing on FOX.
