South Carolina will be without four-star cornerback signee Octavis Johnson for the 2015 season.

Johnson informed TheBigSpur.com that he’d be heading to Fork Union Military Academy for a post-graduate season and would enroll at South Carolina in January of 2016.

The 6-1, 180-pound prospect was the No. 30 overall player in the state of Georgia and the No. 19 rated athlete, according to 247Sports.

The Gamecocks need impact players on defense in the worst way, and Johnson won’t be able to help fill any holes.
