Gary Danielson says Alabama is ‘still the team to beat’ in the SEC

CBS broadcaster Gary Danielson has seen plenty of Alabama and Georgia games this year, as it seems the CBS game of the week is constantly featuring either the Bulldogs or the Crimson Tide.
Therefore, he has a unique insight into the debate of whether Georgia or Alabama should be the No. 1 team in the College Football Playoff.
On “The Paul Finebaum Show” on Wednesday, Danielson made his pick for who should be No. 1. As you can see below, he says the Crimson Tide are still the team to beat in the SEC:

Indeed, Alabama has won the last three SEC Championship Games, so until someone can beat Alabama, it’s fair to say the Crimson Tide are still the conference’s top team.
Alabama hits the road on Saturday to take on No. 16 Mississippi State, while Georgia head to Auburn to take on the No. 10 Tigers. Therefore, we’ll learn a lot about both top teams and will have to re-evaluate next Tuesday to see if the status quo should remain in the CFP rankings.
