Georgia coach Kirby Smart received verbal commitment No. 10 for his 2017 recruiting class on Wednesday morning when 3-star Saint Petersburg, Fla. wide receiver Matt Landers pledged to the Bulldogs.

“I picked Georgia because I felt like that’s where I wanted to be,” Landers told 247Sports. “When I took a visit I felt welcome almost like I was home, the coaches are great, the players are great, the academics are great, and the campus is beautiful, I loved it, my mom loved it, the whole family loved it, I feel I can better my talents at Georgia.”

At 6-foot-5, 180 pounds, Landers ranks as the No. 109 player at his position and nearly breaks the mold for a top-100 prospect in the state of Florida. As a junior in 2015, he recorded 34 receptions for an impressive 1,038 yards (30.5 per catch) and 15 touchdowns, displaying his value as a tremendous deep threat.

Landers holds over 20 offers, choosing Georgia over programs such as Notre Dame, Florida, Florida State, Miami (Fla.), and others. His addition bumps the Bulldogs’ current class to No. 6 nationally and No. 3 in the SEC.
