Georgia RB Kenny McIntosh has apparently suffered a left arm injury, according to his Instagram page on Sunday morning, which puts the balance of his spring practice availability in doubt.
Georgia is well-stocked at running back, so it’s unknown if the Bulldogs will make any roster moves because of this injury. Dawg Nation reported that he will miss the remainder of spring drills after suffering a dislocated right elbow in Saturday’s practice.
McIntosh will not require surgery, and it is expected he’ll be cleared to return to full training activity in a month, the report from Mike Griffith said.
McIntosh was the No. 3 running back for Georgia last season with 251 rushing yards and a touchdown over 8 games, behind Zamir White and James Cook. Though McIntosh is believed to be the next-best receiver out of the backfield after Cook.
McIntosh got his first TD of the season on a first-quarter 6-yard run at Missouri, and he had a career-best 79 yards rushing on 9 carries in win at South Carolina. McIntosh contributed in Georgia’s Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl win over Cincinnati, with 5 rushes (17 yards) and 5 catches (43 yards).
McIntosh missed the Kentucky and Florida games because of a sprained knee suffered against Alabama. McIntosh ranked second in the nation in kick return average at the time of his injury.
