Georgia has released the contract details for defensive coordinator Mel Tucker, who was officially hired the day after helping Alabama win the national championship on Monday.
His contract, both in salary and length, will be identical to that of offensive coordinator Jim Chaney. It’ll be a three-year deal worth $850,000 a year, according to a memorandum of understanding released by the university on Friday.
Details for running backs coach Dell McGee and special teams coach Shane Beamer have not been released yet.
Tucker spent one season as the Crimson Tide’s secondary coach, a responsibility he’ll also shoulder on top of his duties as defensive coordinator in Athens.
