Georgia’s defense was expected to be elite heading into the 2021 season, and the Bulldogs have certainly lived up to that expectation through one half of play against No. 3 Clemson.

The No. 5 Bulldogs lead 7-0 at halftime, and the lone touchdown was scored via a pick-6 from Christopher Smith.

But, how rare is it that Clemson scored 0 points in a half? Well, it hasn’t happened in more than a decade:

The last team to shut out Clemson in the first half? No. 25 NC State on Nov. 6, 2010. Clemson won that game 14-13.

Will Georgia be able to avoid a similar fate? The second half will kick off soon on ABC.
