Greedy Williams says LSU, unlike other teams, isn’t ‘scared’ to face Alabama’s offense
The matchup that many believe will be the most influential in Saturday’s LSU-Alabama clash is the Tigers’ secondary against Crimson Tide quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and his array of receivers.
LSU, at least, is embracing that crucial battle.
In a report by The Athletic, Tigers sophomore Greedy Williams had a strong message for No. 1 Alabama, which has rolled to eight blowout wins in as many games behind its explosive offense. The Athletic’s Max Olson tweeted an excerpt from his story Friday in which Williams insisted LSU’s defense won’t back down in the face of the Crimson Tide’s seemingly unstoppable aerial attack.

Alabama has lived off explosive passing plays this season, mostly using them to build massive first-quarter and halftime leads. The No. 3 Tigers plan to limit those chunk plays and make the Crimson Tide work for all four quarters Saturday in a game with national championship implications.
LSU’s secondary against Alabama’s passing attack will almost certainly be the matchup to watch when this SEC West showdown finally gets underway at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday.
