Gus Johnson delivers most boring TD call of his career during Oregon-USC game

Last month, a bored announcer delivering a yawn-inducing call of a game-winning Hail Mary went viral.

Apparently, FOX broadcaster Gus Johnson saw that and wanted to top it. He definitely put his name in the running for most boring touchdown call of the year on Saturday night during the Oregon-USC game.

As you can see below, Johnson — who is normally very excitable and passionate — brought none of his usual vigor to this long touchdown by Oregon WR Juwan Johnson:

Yes, the game was basically out of hand for USC at that point, but this isn’t what we’ve come to expect from Johnson.

Johnson and his partner, Joel Klatt, normally call the Big Noon Saturday game, so perhaps they were simply up past their bedtime? Who knows, but hopefully Johnson is back to his normal gregarious self next week.
