Halftime performer announced for College Football Playoff title game

The Super Bowl halftime performer will be Maroon 5, and that show is always a highly watched one.

The College Football Playoff title game wants to have some of that same prestige, so this year, Imagine Dragons will play the halftime show on Jan. 7 in Santa Clara.

As you can see below, Imagine Dragons teased the news via Twitter on Monday afternoon:

Of course, this is the band that is playing “Natural” on all of the ESPN broadcasts of college football, so it’s not like fans haven’t heard them before.

However, it’s still better than Maroon 5, so that’s a big plus in my book.
