Harvard Band’s made national headlines last weekend for all the wrong reasons after spelling out a suggestive term during their halftime performance.

An image tweeted by a student revealed the name of a certain appendage being formed at midfield. In an interview with The Boston Globe this week, Paul Meosky, manager of the Harvard Band, said that wasn’t the intent.

“We meant to spell ‘Pen ‘15’ with both a space and an apostrophe before the number,” Meosky said in an emailed statement to the newspaper.

What exactly is Pen 15 you might ask? Just a sexually-explicit joke for the immature.
