The College Football Playoff is expanding, and it could happen as soon as 2024. There are still some things to sort out though before we see a much larger postseason format.
Commissioners are meeting in Dallas, Texas on Friday to work on overcoming some hurdles with the questions that still remain.
“Number one is figuring out the academic calendar because there are going to be first-round games played in December, so they’re trying to work that around December commencement, final exams that we tend too forget about when we’re watching college football games,” ESPN’s Heather Dinich said. “But there’s also the issue of the NFL schedule — competing against NFL playoffs, you don’t want to do that.”
