Apparently, it’ll be a team effort for Huge Freeze’s social media accounts now that he’s the next head coach at Auburn.

Freeze confirmed the social media plan on Saturday during College GameDay, which comes after he apologized for prior social media activity, and amid reports that his contract denoted he had to relinquish his accounts.

Freeze previously direct messaged a former Liberty student as he attempted to defend Liberty athletics director Ian McCaw. Sports Illustrated’s Pat Forde reported that Auburn conducted an “extensive” background check on the former Liberty coach and hired a P.R. consultant to handle the controversial hire.

“I have actually a lot of people in that office that work with me on that now, and I like it that way. It’s hard for me to keep up now with everything that’s going on,” Freeze said. “I didn’t know a few coaches had already changed different places because I can’t keep up with it because I’ve got my hands full with a lot of other things right now. It’ll be a joint effort.”

The 53-year-old Freeze earned the job at Liberty despite his resignation at Ole Miss after recruiting and academic violations as well as at least a dozen calls to a female escort service during his tenure. Now, Freeze will return to the SEC despite another misstep.

Auburn finished this season with a 5-7 record after firing Bryan Harsin.
