Isaiah McGuire, Missouri pass rusher, announces plans for 2023

Isaiah McGuire has made the call on his college career and he confirmed on Tuesday that this is his last season. The Missouri pass rusher is declaring for the NFL Draft at the conclusion of his senior year.

The 6-foot-4, 275-pound McGuire has amassed 21 solo tackles, 5.5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles this season. McGuire is considered by Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz to be the “most consistent defensive player” for this year’s squad.
McGuire captured Missouri’s Defensive Player of the Year prize last season after amassing 38 solo tackles, 6 sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.

McGuire’s fellow defensive teammate Darius Robinson believes there’s no doubt that no one is better in the nation at defensive end than the Tulsa, Oklahoma native.

“If you watch the tape, he’s the best defensive end in the country,” Robinson said.
Missouri has a 4-6 overall record and 2-5 mark in SEC play. Next up for Missouri is a home contest against New Mexico State on Saturday. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET and the game will be covered on ESPNU.
This is the first matchup between the programs.
