Former South Carolina DE Jadeveon Clowney is becoming a star for the Houston Texans and is one of the best pass rushers in the NFL.
However, he has drawn a couple of hefty fines the past couple of weeks for hits on opposing quarterbacks, so he’ll need to tone his play down a bit moving forward.
Via Yahoo! Sports, Clowney was fined more than $40,000 for the hit, which was larger as he had been fined the previous week for a hit on Jets QB Sam Darnold:
PFT has confirmed that Clowney was fined $40,110 for the hit.
Clowney was fined $20,054 for a hit on Jets quarterback Sam Darnold in Week 15, which is why he’s been hit with such a sizable fine this time.

Clowney is making $12.3 million this year, so he won’t miss the money, but he’ll need to stop drawing these fines if he wants to avoid suspension.
