Jahmar Brown offers contrite apology about goal-line fumble

Jahmar Brown made one of the most bone-headed plays of the college football season last week against Troy when he let go of the ball short of the goal line on a turnover by the Trojans. The play resulted in a touchback and turnover instead of a touchdown for South Carolina.

On Tuesday at a press conference, he reflected on the play, and offered an apology.

“I let it all roll off my back because I know what I signed up for playing football in the SEC, the good and the bad,” Brown said.

He added, “Just learn from it. It’s unfortunate that it happened and it could’ve costed my team but I apologized to coach Beamer and my team. All I do can now is flush it, learn from it and move on.”
