When the Belk Bowl is over and done, South Carolina QB Jake Bentley will have a tough decision to make.
Will he follow star senior WR Deebo Samuel into the 2019 NFL Draft, forgoing his senior season, or will he come back to lead the Gamecocks’ offense next fall?
On Friday, Bentley said he hasn’t made a decision yet, but has received feedback from the NFL Draft scouts:
Jake Bentley on his future: Has received the feedback, wants to keep it to himself until after the bowl. Being a school record-holder, which he is in strong position to be with a return, will have an effect on his decision.

Being a school-record holder is a nice incentive, but it’s also unclear whether Bentley got a grade that would lead him to leaving school.
If you’re not going to be a Round 1 or Round 2 pick, the advice is usually to return to school, so we’ll see what happens with Bentley in the coming days.
