In limited action last season, Auburn freshman WR Kyle Davis caught 12 passes, but made the most of those catches.

He piled up 248 yards and two scores while appearing in nine games.

After missing this spring for personal reasons, Davis is back with the Tigers and, according to OANow.com, first-year offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey has been impressed with the sophomore’s skills:

“I’ve seen a guy that’s hungry, a guy that’s excited to be there,” Auburn’s offensive coordinator said of Davis on Sunday. “He’s a really good competitor. Obviously, he’s very talented, for sure. I think he’s done a nice job of transitioning back into football mode. … (I’m) looking for big things out of him.”

With Baylor transfer QB Jarrett Stidham now entrenched as the team’s starter, the Auburn offense could be special this year.

Of course, a large part of that will center on whether Davis can form some quick chemistry with his new quarterback. But, if Lindsey is to be believed, Davis seems up for the challenge.
