Jeremy Pruitt updates Tennessee’s QB situation ahead of Vanderbilt

Tennessee’s quarterback situation is one of the more fluid situations around the SEC. The Vols take on Vanderbilt this week in a game where the Vols are looking to build some momentum and develop a foundation for 2021.
“I thought Harrison (Bailey) and JT (Shrout) both showed poise,” coach Jeremy Pruitt said on the SEC coaches media teleconference. “They had command, didn’t make many mistakes. Both had two very good days of practice this week. They are gaining confidence.”
As Tennessee prepares to play Vanderbilt this week, Pruitt said, “We have been splitting reps with Harrison and JT taking the majority of them.”
Against Vanderbilt on Saturday, Tennessee may see Sarah Fuller on the field, the women’s soccer goalkeeper who played for the football team two weeks ago and made a kickoff against Missouri.
“Me and my wife had a daughter… she’s a winner, a competitor, it’s inspiring for all women,” Pruitt said.
Pruitt also commented on offensive lineman Brandon Kennedy’s future.
“We have talked a little bit, I think he would probably like to pursue a professional career, if not, he might like to get into coaching… he is a very unique young man that has a bright future, regardless,” Pruitt said.
