Georgia has already gotten some bad news this spring, as star WR George Pickens suffered a torn ACL during practice recently.
On Tuesday, another Georgia receiver reportedly suffered a knee injury and had to be carted off the field.
Mike Griffith of DawgNation.com reports that it is a hyperextended knee, but the severity (and any potential further damage) isn’t known at this time:
The injury involves a hyperextended knee, according to a source with knowledge of the practice. The extent or possibility of ligament damage was not immediately known.
Coach Kirby Smart isn’t scheduled to speak to reporters until Saturday, so we’ll see if we get an update before then.
For now, hopefully any tests on Burton’s knee come back with good news.
