When Jimbo Fisher moved from Florida State to Texas A&M this offseason, he did it for many reasons — facilities, support from the administration and, obviously, a big 10-year, $75 million contract.

But, now that he’s in College Station, he is finding that there’s another reason he’s thrilled to be in his new job — the fans.

During A&M’s media day on Sunday, Fisher said he can’t believe how much the Aggies mean to the people in the area, and he loves it:

If Fisher can improve on last year’s 7-5 record this fall, he’ll see just how supportive Aggie fans can be, as the fanbase is hungry for more victories.

The Aggies don’t have the easiest schedule, but Fisher will enter the season with big expectations. How he handles them will set the tone for his tenure at A&M.
