Joe Lunardi’s latest bracketology projections are out, and they feature plenty of SEC flavor!
The ESPN expert has 7 SEC teams making the NCAA Tournament, tied with the Big Ten and Big 12 for most qualifiers for the 68-team field of any conference. And, unlike the Big Ten and Big 12, the SEC has the potential to get an eighth team in as things stand now, as Lunardi has Mississippi State among his “First Four Out.”
As you can see below, he has Auburn as the tournament’s No. 1 overall seed. Kentucky has risen to a 2-seed, while Florida is one of the “Last Four In”:
- Auburn — No. 1 seed (Midwest)
- Kentucky — No. 2 seed (East)
- Tennessee — No. 5 seed (Midwest)
- Alabama — No. 6 seed (South)
- Arkansas — No. 7 seed (West)
- LSU — No. 7 seed (Midwest)
- Florida — No. 12 seed (South)
- Mississippi State — First Four Out
