Joe Lunardi’s latest bracketology is out, and Auburn and Kentucky fans will be very happy with what they see.
For the first time, the Wildcats join the ranks of the No. 1 seeds. Auburn has been a 1-seed for a while now in Lunardi’s projections for the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
Elsewhere, Florida has fallen to the wrong side of the bubble, being included in Lunardi’s “First Four Out.” Mississippi State’s struggles have gotten so bad that the Bulldogs aren’t even listed among the “Next Four Out” anymore.
Here’s where Lunardi projects 6 SEC teams to end up in the field of 68 squads:
- Auburn — No. 1 seed (Midwest)
- Kentucky — No. 1 seed (East)
- Tennessee — No. 4 seed (South)
- Alabama — No. 5 seed (West)
- LSU — No. 6 seed (West)
- Arkansas — No. 6 seed (East)
- Florida — First Four Out
We’re only a few weeks away from Selection Sunday, so we’ll see if the Gators can play their way back into the tourney field. There are some big games remaining for every team listed above!
